Radeon ProRender – rendered entirely through a graphics card, with which almost everything is possible. This physical rendering produces rendered images and is mainly targeted at content creators, although it will be available to developers. In contrast, Radeon Rays include a limited set of features – the library of an intersection of rays and cross-platform.
All this means that game developers will be able to use Radeon Rays for ray tracing in real time, but as a hybrid with traditional rendering. Hybrid rendering combines tracing with raster classic rendering, which is mainly used as a basis, and tracing performs a second pass and complex effects.
