Until now, Nintendo Switch has not acquired its own paid subscription to play multiplayer, which is difficult to call an omission from the players’ point of view, because the multiplayer all this time was free.
But in the second half of September, the Nintendo Switch Online service, similar to PS Plus or Xbox Live, will open. Of course, the service not only “takes”, but also “gives.” Subscribers will gain access to the online mode, the ever-growing media library of games for NES with the ability to play online, cloud storage and much more.
After the launch of Nintendo Switch Online in the second half of September, subscribers of this service will have access to the following functions:
online mode in games such as Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Tennis Aces;
a media library of such classic NES games as Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda and Dr. Mario, in which was added a new online mode;
Cloud data storage is a service that makes it possible to create backup copies of data for easy access to them incompatible games. This will easily restore the saved data if you lose the system or acquire a new one;
Additional features of the Nintendo Switch application for smartphones and tablets and exclusive promotions for subscribers.
After the service is launched in the second half of September, the charge for it will not automatically be deducted from the accounts of Nintendo Switch owners. But online games will be unavailable until you subscribe.
