Forza Horizon is not destined to live forever: the developers announced that another part of the series will soon completely disappear from the sale and go to rest. As they say Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft Studios on the official website, Forza Horizon 2 will reach the state of “end of life” on September 30. This means that the game and additions to it will be removed from the stores.
Users who purchased Forza Horizon 2 will be able to download and run the game itself without changes. For them, after September 30, only one thing will change: they will no longer be able to buy DLC. Already bought DLC will remain in place. Forza Horizon 2 during August is free for subscribers of Xbox Live Gold – apparently, not by accident. In addition, some add-ons in the Xbox store are given at a discount.
Why the game is withdrawn from sale, not officially reported. Most likely, it is somehow connected with licenses – either on cars, or (more likely) on music. For example, because of other people’s songs, Grand Theft Auto IV has recently been shredded. In addition, the first Forza Horizon October 20, 2016 also went to the sunset. Forza Horizon 2 was released on September 20, 2014 on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It turns out that the game lived only four years.
