NVIDIA compared the performance of graphics Turing and Pascal

NVIDIA has published the results of a comparison of the performance of video cards of the GeForce RTX series based on the new Turing architecture with predecessors based on Pascal.

GeForce RTX graphics cards cope with modern AAA-games as 4K HDR and at a speed of 60 frames per second. This could not even provide the flagship GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Moreover, the video cards were able to provide a speed of 93 fps in Call of Duty: WWII and 84 fps in Battlefield 1.

The company stressed that the GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card shows twice the performance of the GTX 1080. This result is achieved with the use of the new DLSS (Deep Learning Super-Sampling) technology, it applies deep training and AI to the rendering algorithms for precise and smooth outlines of objects in games.

Without a DLSS, the GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card outperforms the GTX 1080 by about one and a half times. At the moment, DLSS is supported in Final Fantasy XV, PUBG, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and some other games.
