At last year’s E3 computer game show, Microsoft announced the successor to the X-Box – Project Scorpio. Now the developers have revealed some details about the technical characteristics of the novelty. While one thing is clear – it will be a performance monster. The new console is positioned more like an upgrade, not the next generation of the game console. In combination with full backward compatibility, as well as with improved electronic stuffing, players will be able to run games in 4K resolution and full support for virtual reality.
Compared to Xbox One, the new Scorpio console will offer a much more efficient processor, its performance will increase by 30%. The graphics processor will be 4.6 times more powerful, the operating speed of RAM will also increase several times. All the characteristics of the new items were higher than the PS4 Pro, though not much. A lot of details about Project Scorpio were not disclosed. It is not known what will be the support of virtual reality, as well as such an important factor as price. Powerful hardware costs money, and Microsoft will have to “sweat” to leave the console competitive.
