In November, the release will be Spyro Reignited Trilogy – a major remake of the Spyro trilogy. While the game overcomes the last weeks on the way to launch, lawyers in the service of Activision rushed to protect the company’s intellectual property – the publisher ordered to close the Spyro: Myths Awaken fan project. Today the head of Myths Awaken, Sebastian Chapman received a prohibiting letter. Copyright holders require to stop production of the game and not to resume it n the future. In a comment on Reddit, the developer said that the letter was sent by a law firm working for Activision Blizzard. To confirm the delivery, Sebastian was photographed with the document in hand.
Chapman and other enthusiasts have been working on Myths Awaken for over a year. The authors will not abandon their creation – on the Myths Awaken Discord channel, the developer reported that the game will become an independent project with its own levels, characters, storyline, and gameplay. That is, the elements associated with the purple dragon and violating copyright will be removed from the platformer. We remind you that Spyro Reignited Trilogy will fly to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 13th.
