Single Bit Game – Return of the Obra Dinn


Lucas Pope – developer of the border guard simulator Papers, Please. Now preparing for the release of a new game Pope – the adventure of Return of the Obra Dinn. Yesterday, the author announced the launch date of Obra Dinn. One of the features of Return of the Obra Dinn is single-bit graphics, drawn in 800 x 450 resolution. The image, which consists of only two colors, is stylized as images from ancient Mac computers.

We remind you that the action of Obra Dinn occurs in the early 1800s. The merchant ship Obra Dinn departs from London to the East with 200 tons of goods on board. After six months, the ship did not appear at the appointed place – at the Cape of Good Hope. The ship is declared missing. After five years, Obra Dinn suddenly enters the port of Falmouth with damaged sails and no crew. The protagonist is an insurance investigator for the East India Company, whose task is to board the ship and assess the losses.

Return of the Obra Dinn will be available on PC and Mac on October 18th. The game can be purchased at stores Steam, and Humble Bundle.
