Trine developers presented part 4 of the series.

Earlier in October, we reported that the European Education, Culture and Audiovisual Executive Agency will finance the development of several games. Trine 4 was also mentioned in the impressive list. It did not take long to wait for official confirmation – yes, the Finns from Frozenbyte are really working on the fourth part. In a press release, the CEO of Frozenbyte Lauri Hyvärinen assured that the creators are going to exceed the expectations of the fans and make the fourth Trine the best in the series.

Recall the previous part of the franchise, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power was released in 2015. Trikvel collected mixed reviews from users and journalists. The game fascinated with a wonderful picture and music, but this did not eliminate the mass of flaws. Among them – a modest duration, a plot that ends shortly, not the most successful transition to full 3D and dull additional levels.

Because of the cool reception of The Artifacts of Power in the same 2015, Frozenbyte announced it was discontinuing work on the new Trine. Fortunately, this is not the end of the series. The release of the game is scheduled for next year. Platforms – PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The publisher of Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will be Modus Games.
