Epic Games has decided to take advantage of the huge community of Fortnite and is preparing to launch its own digital game store, which offers developers more favorable terms.
If the developer places his game on Steam, then Valve takes 30% of the sales of each game. In the case of Epic Games Store, Epic takes only 12%. Epic Games Store will be built into the new launcher, which remains the only place to run the PC version of Fortnite.
The store will be open for games on any engines, but Epic promises to remove the need to pay 5% of sales for using the Unreal Engine if the games created on it are placed in the Epic Games Store.
